Abe Barcelona is an association that brings together 35 art galleries in Barcelona. Its main objective is to broaden the city’ s cultural offer and strengthen its presence on the international art scene, as well as to cooperate between the different galleries. The actions they carry out seek to promote citizen participation in the art world and provide the public with free access to spaces where they can learn about art trends and promote new languages and new artists.
What did we do?
Abe Barcelona and ICEC counted on our experience to develop the Digitalisation and Digital Marketing Course to be given to art galleries in Barcelona during a total of four sessions. The aim was to offer an overview of the current digital landscape, as well as to present digital marketing tools and strategies so that the different galleries attending could continue to grow and improve their business, orienting it towards the digital reality.
How did we do it?
At Mindset Digital, we got deep into the art sector: we gathered the latest art trends, researched new digital players and companies involved in the sector and expanded our knowledge of how art galleries operate as a business .
On the other hand, we developed the didactic material for the course during the previous six months. In doing so, we based our work on four main themes:
- The digital transformation of the economy. We present the evolution of the Internet, how it has impacted communication and business and how it has transformed commercial and artistic production processes.
- The digitisation of the art world on a global scale. We gave an overview of the art-tech landscape, and explained how they could take advantage of the digital environment to digitise exhibitions and events, as well as enhance their corporate image in digital media.
- Digital transformation in an art gallery. We proposed the possibilities for reconverting the gallery and being able to dynamise, digitalise and automate processes through digital marketing and its tools: social ads, web analytics, marketplaces, among others.
- Growth hacking work methodology. We explain the basics of this method and elaborate a practical case of a strategic digital growth plan to make the art gallery grow in the pure Mindset Digital style.
In addition, to facilitate communication and provide a better experience for all attendees, we developed a specific online platform for the course. This way, galleries could access and download all the information, presentations, templates and didactic content that was specially developed for the digitisation and digital marketing course.
Finally, we delivered four sessions of four hours each during the month of July 2022. The different classes were presented by Hugo Palomar (CEO of Mindset Digital); Jan Almuni and Carla Lanfranconi (Project Managers of Mindset Digital).
Opinions
It is obvious that these people prepare the content of the courses with care. The truth is that I am very happy with the equipment and the service provided.
Mindset Digital course has allowed us to have a global vision of the elements that participate in a successful digitalization process of a company. And it has done so in a way adapted to the art sector to which we are dedicated. It is a good starting point to launch this new stage.
